Creation of a Belgian PERT Consortium for the management of acute pulmonary embolism
The Belgian Respiratory Society (BeRS) and the Belgian Society of Cardiology (BSC) are joining forces to establish a national task force dedicated to managing acute pulmonary embolism, especially for high-risk (HR) and intermediate-high-risk (IHR) patients. The objectives of this group include:
1. Standardizing PERT procedures across centers (definition and functioning of PERT).
2. Submitting an official reimbursement request for PERT consultations.
3. Establishing quality criteria for the follow-up of HR/IHR patients.
4. Considering a national registry for PERT consultations.
Participation : each center with a PERT (or with a future PERT project) is invited to participate, with at least two representatives per center from various specialties (pulmonology, cardiology, intensive care, radiology, cardiac surgery, etc.).
The first meeting will take place on Wednesday 27th Novembre from 7 until 9.15 p.m. at the BeRS Office (E-Health Valley - Allée de la Recherche 10 Researchdreef - 1070 Anderlecht), followed by a walking dinner.
Agenda : Introduction to the consortium, discussion of PERT objectives, national structuring, recommendations, quality of care, awareness, and national registry.
We invite you to register online now for the face-to-face meeting. A Zoom link will be sent to participants who are unable to come on-site at the BeRS Office.
